The Power of Little People

I have a new friend - his name is Ethan. We became friends last week when he and his mom your visiting the church office. He came into my office offering me a glass of water. Then he cleaned off the white board and wiped down the walls in the work room.

Ethan and I became acquainted a couple of months ago. I was hanging out with the 3-year-olds in Sunday school. I love being with them; they keep me grounded in reality! 

In Sunday School Ethan taught me the RIGHT way to make motor boat sounds when dropping a GI Joe into a tub of water! Last week while I was doing the children's sermon Ethan walked right up to me and plopped himself on my lap. It made my day!

Wouldn't it be amazing if we continued to become a community which wildly loves young people as Jesus did; and that we would wholeheartedly embrace them as part of this community? It kind of reminds me of Jesus words, "Let the children come to me and do not hinder them."
